Tayama Japhet Orchids -- Versatile and Easy-to-Grow Orchid!
The white Japhet Orchid is one of the easiest of the Cattleya family of orchids to grow! It tolerates temperatures from the low 40's F up to the upper 90's F -- if you have good air circulation and a relative humidity of 40% or higher and in a shaded area -- perfect for Southern California: San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties! These plants are just as easy to grow as Cymbidium or Phalaenopsis orchids.
They also naturally bloom twice a year: in the late spring-summer and in the late fall-early winter.
These plants are popular items at Retail Garden Centers, plant shops and specialty orchid stores.
The cut flowers are perfect for event planners and wedding specialists.

Vanilla planifolia is a species of vanilla orchid. It is native to
Mexico, and is one of the primary sources for vanilla flavouring, due
to its high vanillin content. Common names are Flat-leaved Vanilla,
Tahitian Vanilla (for the Pacific stock formerly thought to be a
distinct species), and West Indian Vanilla (also used for the Pompona
Vanilla, V. pompona). Often, it is simply referred to as "the
vanilla". We have cuttings from our original Tayama plant (pictured) in 6" or 7" pots available now!
